Amy Devers, artist, furniture designer and host of DIY Network's "DIY To The Rescue" and "Freeform Furniture" needed a website to showcase her diverse talents, multitude of projects and allow visitors to keep track of her many appearances and press clippings. Amy clearly needed a content management system so she could do it herself, in keeping with the DIY ethic. We had to build something flexible enough to keep track of everything she has her hands in and simple enough so it doesn't become yet another project to update her website. The system we developed uses a simple interface to cover her portfolio, her television series, her news, events, photos and inspirations. While each section differs slightly from the other in presentation, they all use a similar interface. Adding things is easy and the ease inspires her to populate the site, making it richer. The site is designed to grow with her and not impose limits on what she can add, whether it's a photo from her cellphone, a music recommendation or a new piece of furniture.
