LYON is a longtime creative partner of mediumstudios and does some of the finest graphic design work in the industry. We partnered on this project to create a website that would allow them to easily update their site with their cutting edge advertising, graphic design, marketing communications and film projects. We wanted to create an interface which was simple to use and allowed the end result to be dynamic. Our goal was for each page to appear to have been typeset or designed by a graphic artist, not just squeezed into a template. We customized a content management system which gave LYON full control over the left hand "stage" area of the page. They can upload graphics, text or movies as appropriate. The homepage is a constantly updated "What's New' section that allows LYON to showcase their latest creations and news without the overhead of a hard to maintain Flash piece. An additional backend feature is a custom "client locker" which is a password protected area where LYON can post comps and projects in various stages for their registered clients to view and download, saving the frustration of huge email attachments and the complication of FTP.
