Chris Martino, a west coast based visual artist, wanted a better way to showcase his work, and most importantly, keep his website up to date, so that visitors are always aware of what he is up to and return visitors are treated to fresh visuals and current information. We wanted Chris to be able to maintain the site without undue effort and to not be limited to an out of of the box gallery solution. As co-owner of a design firm himself, Chris wanted complete artistic control over the site. A custom content management system was created giving Chris the ability to modify the entire site, both text and images. The galleries were made so that Chris has the ability to easily add, edit and delete work and also to maintain the status of the individual art works (available/sold). Finally the site allows Chris to upload PDFs of any forthcoming shows, transcripts of interviews and any other items he thinks might be of interest to visitors.
